- Drake University – 2001
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
After graduating from Drake University in 2001, I knew I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to make a positive impact in people’s lives. This led me to the financial services industry, where I could help families work towards their unique financial goals. I started my journey at FinanSure, where I served as the Director of Operations and gained experience in multiple areas of the financial services industry. As my passion grew, I worked my way up to become a Financial Consultant, where I could provide personalized advice to individuals and families.
In 2006, I joined AG Edwards as a Financial Advisor, where I continued to develop my expertise in financial planning and investment management. However, I felt that the traditional broker-dealer model did not allow me to serve my clients as effectively as I would have liked. This led me to break away to independence in 2008 where I founded Hagemann Wealth Management; I could now focus on helping families work towards financial independence with a more intentional and holistic approach.
As an independent financial advisor, my top priority is providing personalized financial advice to families that is tailored to their unique goals and positions on their Bench of Life. In 2023, I am thrilled to announce my partnership with Gateway Financial Partners, which will enable me to deliver an even higher level of customized service. This partnership will give me the flexibility to create comprehensive financial plans that are unique to each of my clients, while leveraging the additional support of Gateway Financial Partners.
I am committed to building long-lasting relationships with my clients, and I understand that everyone’s financial journey is different. That’s why I take the time to learn about each family’s specific needs and goals before designing a tailored plan. Whether it’s saving for college education, buying a home, starting a business, or planning for retirement, I work closely with families to develop a comprehensive roadmap that aligns with their aspirations.
My aim is to help families pursue financial independence and manage their finances in a way that balances their short-term needs with their long-term goals. I place a strong emphasis on education, providing guidance on topics such as budgeting, debt management, and investment strategies to help my clients understand the financial decisions they make and feel empowered to take control of their finances. With the added support of Gateway Financial Partners, I am confident that I can continue to provide families with the highest level of service as they pursue their financial goals.
Outside of work, I live in Batavia with my two children, Brianna and Nate, where my parents planted their roots nearby. Family time is incredibly important to me, and I am always look for new things to do together, whether it be playing golf or cheering them on at their sporting events and musical performances. Additionally, giving back to the community is an integral part of my life, and I volunteer my time as much as possible. I have served on the board for Batavia Main Street, Water Street Studios, and was the chair of the City of Batavia’s Historic Preservation Commission.
