WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with a major financial services group, Gateway Financial Partners under the national independent brokerage firm of LPL Financial, to broaden our planning services. Gateway Financial Partners is a network of real people connecting clients to the resources they need during the financial transitions in their lives. Gateway provides leadership and premier IT resources, as well as innovative thinking from a management team.
In an effort to always give you excellent service and advice, we have positioned ourselves into better hands to improve our capacity and support. The goal in partnering with Gateway is to celebrate our independence as The Kimball’s while Gateway supports us behind the scenes, allowing us to more freely service clients how we see fit. Our relationship with you will be changing in no way, shape, or form; we will only be improving upon our financial and business planning services and building up our time spent with you. As an independent financial representative, our business will operate under the name of Gateway Financial Partners.
WHO WE ARE
We are independent advisors who specialize in comprehensive planning. Comprehensive planning is the process of learning and understanding each aspect of a client’s life as it relates to finances.
As independent advisors, we are not tied to any one company, which allows us the flexibility to research which companies are well suited for each individual client’s plan. Kimball Financial goes beyond simply selling products or managing investments. We take the time to understand you and the goals you are working towards.
Afterwards, each client has an individualized plan and the guidance to implement that plan. For us, comprehensive planning is not a one-time transaction, but rather, a commitment to helping our clients navigate their ever-changing lives.
WHAT WE DO
We coach our clients on their financial options, so they may feel educated in choosing a path that both fits their needs and helps them to take active steps towards pursuing their financial goals.
When you schedule your initial consultation session, we will take the time to get to know you and your financial goals. Together, we will complete a questionnaire, created by Brent & Katherine, to help guide this process. We will also address any questions you may have about the process as a whole. Your introductory consultation session will be free of charge.
After completing the consultation session, we will have a meeting in which you are presented with our research and recommendations, based on your goals and your specific situation. As independent financial advisors, we have access to a vast selection of companies and products tailored to meet your needs. After reviewing the recommendations, we will discuss how to put your plan into action.
Once your plan is in motion, we will continue to work together to make sure your plan continues to meet your needs and your ever-changing life. Life is not static, and as your world changes, so will your plan! We will review your plan at least once a year and continue to stay in touch as new events and people enter your life.
IN THE NEWS
Have you always helped clients as much as possible? When did you realize how communication impacts the service you provide and the information you gather? In this episode, MDRT members share changes they have made in their practice from lessons that, if possible, they would have learned earlier.
One way members meaningfully impact communities is through the MDRT Foundation Phonathon, which raised more than $311,000 this year for the Foundation’s global grant programs. On March 25 and 26, OneAmerica hosted 17 dedicated MDRT members in Indianapolis, Indiana, who graciously gave their time calling other members for pledges.
Life insurance policies sometimes, but not always, are included within employer-sponsored retirement plans. But disability insurance is less common to cover future retirement funding.
As the 2018 MDRT Foundation Phonathon Task Force Chair, I have the opportunity to ensure another successful Phonathon. Now my fifth time as a volunteer Phonathon caller, I’m honored to call alongside 18 of my fellow driven MDRT members as we give our time to raise funds for the global grant programs by reaching out to other members. This year’s two-day event is February 26 and 27 and will be hosted once again by One-America Financial in Brad MyersIndianapolis, Indiana, USA.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a younger client or an older client. It doesn’t matter if the client has a lot of large assets or more modest ones. During the first meeting about retirement planning, Brent R. Kimball, ChFC, CFP, a 29-year MDRT member from Pembroke, New Hampshire, asks each client one crucial question: When we look back five years from now at what we’ve done together, what would you have wanted to accomplish in that period?
Calling fellow members across the United States is one of the hardest, but most rewarding, things I do all year. Imagine going back to the basics of cold calling. This certainly isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world, and we don’t get paid for it. So why do it? Because the MDRT Foundation makes a tremendous difference. And making a difference is what we’re all about.
