We believe the most useful thing we can do is help you understand the decisions in front of you. We can’t sit on your shoulder for every financial choice you make, so we put education at the center of the relationship. That’s why we take the time to explain your options in plain language before anything gets decided.
At Gateway Financial Partners, our goal is to be an experienced partner in financial planning for business owners, multigenerational families, and people working through a major change. We help you organize what you’ve built, think through what comes next, and coordinate the investment, tax, and estate pieces so they work together rather than separately.
Greg began his career in public accounting in 1995 and later served as a CFO before moving into financial planning. He brings a CPA’s understanding of the tax code at both the individual and business level. That background shapes how we work: we ask a lot of questions up front so we understand not just the need you came in with, but the rest of the picture around it.
Sorting through investments, taxes, an estate, and a business at the same time can feel like a lot, and it’s easy to put off. Our goal is to help you get organized, understand your choices, and make decisions with intention, one conversation at a time.
Greg Frankos works with multigenerational families and owners of closely held businesses, helping them coordinate investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning into one plan. Over the years he has also built a small but meaningful group of clients who are widows, helping them work through the practical decisions that follow the death of a spouse so the transition of assets is less overwhelming during a hard time.
Greg graduated from Villanova University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He then spent nine years in public accounting with two large firms, with a one-year stretch in the middle serving as CFO of a company that was a client of the firm. That work put him in front of individual tax returns, closely held family businesses, publicly traded companies, and entrepreneurs, and it gave him a working knowledge of the tax code at both the individual and business level. He has been a licensed CPA for 26 years.
He moved into financial planning because he found he could do more for people by working with them at a granular level on their goals. Clients notice that he asks a lot of questions early. The discovery process is deliberate: it lets him understand not only the need a client came in with, but the rest of their portfolio, retirement plan, investment strategy, and estate plan. Many of those relationships become personal over time, and he considers that part of the work.
Greg believes a life of service to others is one well lived. He tells clients to take advantage of his experience as much as they can, because the point of everything he has learned in more than thirty years in financial services is to put it to use for the people who rely on him.
We begin with a conversation, and we take our time with it. Getting to know you is what lets us shape the relationship around what you actually need. Expect a fair amount of discovery early on, including questions about parts of your picture you may not have come in to discuss.
Once we understand your situation, we determine the level of service that fits and put together a plan to address it. Then we implement it with you, walking through each decision so you understand why it’s there and how it connects to the rest.
We monitor the plan and review it with you at an interval we agree on together, along with regular touch points throughout the year. As your business, family, or tax situation changes, we revisit the plan and adjust it.
We believe the relationship works best when we know you well. We ask you to let us into your life as much as you’re comfortable with, not out of curiosity, but because the more we understand, the more useful we can be in helping you maintain and manage what you’ve built. At Gateway Financial Partners, we work with people who want a planner who will ask the second and third question.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. Our process starts with discovery on purpose, because that’s how we make sure every part of what we agree to handle gets the attention it needs. If that sounds like the kind of working relationship you’re looking for, we’re here when you’re ready.
